You Just have to Trust
When you really and truly say “Yes!” to God, to the Universe, and to living your life empowered and alive, you have signed a verbal contract to shift.
Now, as far as I know, there is no such thing as a written contract with God and to this day, I have never read any “fine print” about what will happen once you say yes. You can’t really know what is coming up next for you when you agree to hold hands with a Higher Power… you just have to trust.
New Beginnings
How do you know when it’s time for a new beginning? For me, I start to get an inkling from the Universe. I start to see signs or hear sweet whispers telling me to try something new. Now, if I ignore it, those voices get louder and louder until the Universe is pretty much pushing me off the edge.
What do you do in the times of parallel living - between two worlds? A good idea is to live both until it begins to make sense. How will you know? You’ll feel like a chick in an egg and you’ll have to choose and jump and start new.
How do you stay clear and focused? How do you know you’ve made the right choice? You’ll feel it…
Purification
Love.
Who are you loving? How are you loving? Are you showing them gratitude and appreciation? Are you loving them as they are and not trying to change them? Are you telling them that you love them without expecting anything in return. Random acts of kindness ... unnecessary love notes. That’s what I say!
Choice
I’ve been thinking a lot about the word choice this week. The conversation started out as how fortunate we are to have choice. And admittedly, how we have too many choices on any given day. Having too many choices creates a little FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) for me, to be perfectly transparent. I like to keep things simple.
Letting Go
I’ve written about this theme many times … it’s powerful that’s why. Some say our human grasping is the root of all suffering and that if we just let go we would be fine!
Well I’m here to say that … I’ve let go of a lot of things, a home, a career, money, businesses, people, my marriage, and even ideas and beliefs. And there are days I am still confronted with something I am still grasping onto a bit too tight. And there are times when my mind still struggles with my heart and I suffer.
HEALING
Here’s what I know to be true:
-
The magic of love and surrender is what heals us.
-
The power of intuition and knowing that something is working through us at all times is what guides us.
-
Our hearts hold and know more than we can ever think we know.
-
Our bodies are vessels that carry our souls to a place of peace and harmony, if we allow it.
-
This life is a journey of the heart – which means consistent healing toward love.
-
Life is not measured by the number of epic moments but by the depth of each experience we have with love.
Evolution
After sitting in a room full of new yoga teacher trainees this weekend, the word evolution came easily as the theme of the week. I looked up the word a couple of years ago when it became a theme for my own life:
Evolution: the gradual development of something, especially from a simple to a more complex form.
Positive Pivots
I just spent the last weekend in Sedona, Arizona … a place I have loved since I first stepped foot on those Red Rocks 8 years ago. Yes, eight years ago. Seems like another lifetime to be honest. I was in such a different place back then. Unimaginable that I’m here now; I would have never guessed. Could have never thought this life into reality.
But somehow I did…
Epic Transition
So with this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and all that’s happening in our world … I have to say that EPIC TRANSITIONS is the only theme that can define this week.
This time is all about transitions, big ones this time. And I mean it. I do believe though that you can shift 2 degrees or 180 degrees; that you can create effort or ease; that you can struggle or flow. I believe that everything is a choice. However, we do not have the option to change or not; because change is inevitable.
Setting the Stage
This week is big … although honestly, it’s just a big as any other week. I mean, in every single breath, technically, we are “setting the stage” of our life. The trick is to set the stage of your life consciously so you don’t end up, 30 years from now asking, how the hell did I get here?
Power
Personally … I like my definition better. Why? Because our own internal power is all we ever need to be concerned about. How are we managing it? How are we using it? Are we depleted or energized? Where are we giving it away? Where are we leaking unconsciously? Where are we out of balance in relationship to ourselves, others and situations in our own life?
Three Little Words
Just three simple words, that’s all it takes to seed your life and set it into motion. But what happens is we are bombarded by so much, much more than three little words each day.
We veer off course because we allow our mind to go onto auto-pilot or over-drive listening to everything that’s “out there”. We co-mingle the beating of our own heart with the beating of another. We bump into other souls on their journey and ride-along their path for awhile. Only to re-member our own journey is what feeds our soul, not the path of another.
TRUTH
We base truth on what we believe to be true about a past experience. But honestly, the past experience was based on only what we knew to be true in that moment. Given time, energy, and more experience, that same past event will definitely take on a new meaning. And worse than that, we create truth out of our fantasy, projection or idea of what we think the future will look like. And not one bit of that is true. Ever.
Depth
I have a question for you … what do you do when you find the depth of your pose? Meaning, when you go a bit deeper into a pose and it gets just a little uncomfortable, what do you do? Do you exit the posture? Do you push too much and hurt yourself? Do you distract yourself and watch someone else, judging what they are doing?
What do you do?
Tribe
My blood family raised me and for that I am beyond grateful. My yoga tribe on the other hand, re-members me. The knowing of tribe members is unexplainable and may show up as synchronicities or mystical encounters. And while I agree that some of us may feel that with our blood family, others do not. When I sit in circle for weeks on end with yoga teacher trainees … it’s easy to vibrate in the word tribe.
Swift Intuitive Discernment
There is no time for illusion, no time for over-processing, no time for sitting in the past. We need leaders that are awake and alive to the truth. We need Spiritual Ninjas aligning their body, mind and soul with Divine guidance.
