Be The Light

It’s been a few days since the bombing on Paris and I’ve had spacious amounts of time to really digest this whole situation.  And I know it’s a sore spot for so many so I tread lightly while speaking from a place that is true for me.

I think there is a spiritual meaning behind this attack and I think it’s time to take heed.  I think it’s time to wake up to our life and really see, beyond the surface, what is happening.

I believe this attack comes from a place that represents the radical imbalance of our masculine and feminine energies in humanity.  I believe it represents the collective consciousness that still lives in fear and separation.  And I believe that it represents a reality of darkness that lingers in our world.

I quote a few of my favorites here:

Ghandi: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”

Michael Franti: “We can bomb the world to pieces but we can’t bomb it into peace.”

Martin Luther King: “I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.”

This has been going on forever.  Religious separation, gender inequality, racial discrimination; all ignites a sense of urgency to make change, but where to begin?

This bombing opened up a huge can of worms.  Or should I say wounds.  It brought to light the wounds of our ancestors, our “people”, our tribes, and if we believe that we live in a holographic Universe, (which I do), then it really ripped open the wounds we have within ourselves.  And while I’m very sad so many people died, I am hoping for a different ending this time.  I am hoping this was not in vain.  But change won’t happen on its own.   And if you’re like me, and want a different ending to this terrorist attack, I urge you to think deeper and listen for a moment with your heart.

I watched the world put all eyes on Paris.  I watched social media blow up with photos, profile photo covers, and new logos praying for Paris.

And then I watched people bring up Beirut, the Middle East, Kenya, and all the other unnamed places and people who deal with this kind of thing every single day.  For some in this world, this is their daily reality.  And I was reminded of how true that is.  And my heart hurt, it still does.  Even though we are all one, we are living such different experiences based on our thoughts and our karma.

Then the blaming and shaming began and that was slightly disheartening.  As if the people who changed their profile photos to show “unity and love” for Paris, had done something wrong.

As if we know what to do when something horrific occurs in a world that involves guns, terrorists, killing of innocent women and/or children or anything that is unjust or terrifying.   We don’t know.  We’re living in a world that is outside of that… we are separate right?  No, we aren’t and people show their way of being unified in all different ways.  And I began to think about how that’s just what they want.  They want us to create more separation between each other.

They want us to be distracted and drop into fear and anger.  They want us to create more separation by blaming the government, the rule makers and each other.  Because then, we’ve fallen into their energy, and we’re vibrating at their frequency and therefore nothing different will ever happen.  Things will stay the same and we will once again, repeat history.

But for a moment ask yourself, who’s “they” anyway.  Aren’t we all one?

And this made me even more ignited to do something different.  You see, this is why I believe all these things happen on this planet:

Our collective is still so caught up in fear, lack, limit, separation, and judgment.  We reflect that from ourselves and out into the world.  Because no matter what, we are conditioned to believe that we are separate.  We are taught to believe that situations happening outside of ourselves, is some by-product of something else besides our own thoughts.  That someone, anyone is to blame for these atrocities and honestly, that couldn’t be further from the truth.

The truth is that our own thoughts must shift into unity consciousness.  And if we want to really make change, they must shift swiftly and powerfully with no looking back.  We must look inward.  Into our own hearts, our own minds, our own issues, and our own reactions, if we are to make any type of change.

We must take responsibility for our own actions with deep compassion and see where we hold that separation, lack, fear and judgment and we must take it into the light.  And we must do it now.  Without shame, without guilt and without blame.

It is time to step into the light.  It is time to illuminate all sides of ourselves to transmute eons of this dark energy into something that resonates at a higher frequency … into something that looks like unity.

It’s time to listen intently to our hearts.  To follow our dreams.  To step into our desires without fear.  It’s time to say yes and stop hesitating.  To easily move from struggle to ease and grace.  To say how we feel from a loving, compassionate place.

It’s time to turn off electronics and love and cuddle.  It’s time to commune with nature and hug a tree.  It’s time to make extremely conscious choices about everything from what we read, to what we eat, to where we shop and with whom we choose to spend time with.

It’s time to love and love deeply.  It’s time to forgive, once and for all.  It’s time to do what we love, and only 100% of the time.  It’s time to heal our wounds; not wallow in them, heal them.  It’s time to stop judging and instead, seeing.

It’s time to get up and get moving.  Time to breathe and change your thoughts so your reactions will change.  It’s time to live a life that is sustainable and expansive.

We will not be perfect every single time.  We will not get it right in every moment.  And we will not stop violence, war, separation or greed.  But we will raise our own vibration and in turn elevate the vibration on this planet.  And I promise, over time things will shift.  And as I have always believed, because it did it for me, we must step on our mat and move … we must breathe, move and awaken to the power of yoga, connection and love.

This will keep us in the light.
