Visiting Marrakech and Agafay Dessert

 Tips: You can search for flight using Google flights and set a price alert. Just search “Google Flights” in your browser & you can add in locations & dates. 

 Trip Insurance: Many credit cards offer trip insurance with cancellation . Now is a great time to research whether any of your cards already offer this protection and consider purchasing separate trip insurance. 

 Passport: Your passport must not be expiring within 6 months of arrival in Morocco. Please take a look at your passport now to ensure you have plenty of time to renew if needed. Tourist visas are not required to enter Morocco if you are planing to stay less than 90 days. 

 Optional: The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program is a free service to allow U.S. citizens traveling abroad to enroll their trip with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Why do this? You will receive important information about safety conditions, help the U.S. Embassy contact you in an emergency and help family/friends get in touch with you in an emergency. https://step.state.gov/step/

  • Fly into Marrakech:

    • We will pick you up from the airport and take you directly to Riad BE; Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK).Its located just 20 minutes from the Riad retreat center. 

    • Transport is all inclusive with at least (7) people in each van. Additionally, if you are needing to be picked up or dropped off somewhere other than our itinerary, there will be additionally charges.

    • After our stay in Marrakech, we will travel to the desert for two days of peaceful bliss - this is included in your cost

OTHER OPTIONAL INFORMATION

  • Mobile Passport Control App (CBP MPC). This is an app created by US customs and border patrol to make entry back into the US via customs much faster. Highly recommend having on your phone for travel back into the US.

  • Air Tags: for iPhone users who plan to check a bag, highly recommend purchasing Apple AirTags that can be placed in your luggage, purse etc to help you locate your belongings if they are lost.

  • You can also turn on location sharing in the “Find My” app on your iPhone so that friends/family back home can follow along with your location on your adventure!

  • Cell Phone Service: check with your carrier to see what your options are for cell service while in Morocco. For example, T Mobile offers international service at no extra charge for some of their plans.

  • Consider keeping copies of important documents (drivers license, passport, prescriptions… on your cell phone or printed in your carryon)

  • Fresh cut fruit, coffee, tea self service available upon arrival and each morning.

  • Brunch and dinner are served at certain times. 

  • Drinking water on the property: bring a water bottle to re-use.

FACILITY INFO

The facility has yoga mats and props for you to use during your stay.

Make sure you complete the questionnaire and the health protocol so we have all the necessary information on file.

If you have any medication that you need overseas, please make sure you bring it with you.

The weather in Marrakech in October  is found here  but note that it is warm! Please pack accordingly. We will provide a more detailed packing list as the trip date gets closer.

If you want to schedule a massage while you are there, you must do that with the facility directly.

Dana will be offering Elemental Healing sessions/Astrology readings during the free time - please plan early as time slots are limited. Send Dana an email and organize through her assistant at the beginning of the year. We are going to suggest that you partake in the activities, put your mind away and enjoy.
