Tilling the Soil
I’ve been thinking a lot about this week’s theme and it’s been so powerful – the deeper meaning to all of … this.
It started at dance class the other day, when the teacher used the phrase, “till your soil.” She invited us to pay attention to how we were “dancing” in our own space and what was coming up for us in that space.
This whole idea really resonated with me and it’s evolved all week long. Especially with this Full Moon Cancer! Talk about tilling the soil!
Soil, in order to stay fertile, must be tilled and attended to often. And in that tilling, so much comes up doesn’t it? Of course it depends on how deep you dig, but the opportunity always presents itself for something new to sprout.
It’s one of those things that I believe, the human experience NEEDS in order to evolve: continuous tilling, composting, replanting, weeding, and nurturing. On ALL levels of our being: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Without it we become stagnate in the way we do things, the way we see things, and the way we actually function as a spiritual BEing on this planet.
When you till, things come up … some things you may not want to see, witness, or even admit to owning. When you till, the ground beneath you gets a bit unstable and you may lose your footing. However, the breath IS the cord that keeps you connected beyond any upheaval you endure. Your intuition is what directs you in this unfamiliar territory. And the new arrangement of soil begins to feel comforting under your feet.
Surrender to this Full Moon; allow it to illuminate emotions, weed out distractions, calm an anxious mind, and heal a once broken heart. Till your soil over and over and over again, for every time you do this, you get a deeper and more potent pearl to hold in your heart. You come closer and closer to who you are amidst all the noise, expectation and distraction. Just surrender to it… it’s all part of the process.
