I Am

Think about how often you use the words “I am” throughout your day. I am tired; I am broke; I am stressed out; I am overworked. Any of those sound familiar? How many times do you hear yourself saying the following? I am blissful; I am fulfilled; I am abundant; I am vibrant. I would bet, given the statistics and obvious discontent in the world, that the majority of people are attaching negative endings to their “I am” statements.
When we say “I am,” we are creating that which we believe to be true. If you believe you are tired, you will be tired. If you believe you are vibrant, you will be vibrant. It’s like Henry Ford said, “If you think you can or you can’t, either way, you are right.”
We create that which we desire and believe we deserve for ourselves in this lifetime. We are creative beings and the two most powerful words in the English language are “I am.” Saying “I am” is like summoning all the “powers who be” to us. They are just waiting to hear what it is we think we are so they can deliver.
Begin listening to yourself. If you can’t hear yourself, begin listening to others around you when they use “I am” statements. If it’s really as powerful as it’s meant to be, you will notice and agree that what we think, do, and say could use a little fine-tuning. If 80% of the people out there are tired, broke, stressed out, and angry, what do you think is happening to our collective consciousness? It is becoming tired, broke, stressed out, and angry.
I am giving you a challenge. Next time you hear someone say “I’m exhausted,” for example, look at the person and say something like, “Wow, you don’t look like it. In fact, you look great!” Witness the transformation your words create for them.
Notice yourself using these negative words and phrases. Then stop yourself dead in your tracks and reverse it. There are no more powerful words than “I am.” Use them wisely.
