Bow Down to You
There are times in my life when I sit back and ponder. In fact, truth be told, I ponder a lot, maybe a bit excessively, but it’s been so worth it. I call it a spiritual time-out. There’s nothing like it … just sitting. Who DOES that?
Me and apparently several other thousands of yogis on this planet. But sometimes we can all use a reminder.
This last weekend in Aspen, at Wanderlust, I was again reminded of how far we can come in just one year when we put our thoughts, words and actions into alignment.
I’m not saying my life is perfect, far from it actually. But what’s perfect anyway? This moment to be sure, especially when you sit back and remind yourself of all the events that brought you to this moment. There are no coincidences, only magical moments when the heart is open and flow happens.
This practice of yoga, of yoking your thoughts, with your words and with your deeds is a life long practice. It’s a balancing act that takes effort, time and commitment. It’s not something you wake up to and just do, you continue to BEcome.
The key to balancing it all is this: take breaks. Get off the train of forward motion and ponder. Sit in grace. Sit in awe! Sit in complete presence and enjoy THIS moment.
Give yourself a huge high five for all the awesomeness you have created and how far you have come. Sit in gratitude for it all… every, single bit and see how each and every circumstance brought you to now.
When you do that you are sitting in the flow of life with a reverence that is light. You are sitting in a space that is open and vast. You are sitting in a space that is now and it doesn’t get any more real than that.
Make your plans, do your thing, BE your bad ass self, trailblaze, get it done. And then every now and again, sit in awe of yourself. Notice the greatness, the reflections, the tribe that surrounds you, the gifts and how much you have expanded.
Bow down … to you.
